perhaps it is selfish… but i want a laptop.

i completely forgot to link micah’s newest version of micah kandros design. he’s so good. for so many reasons.

1. i watched the great american cinematic classic better off dead, which he owns, at his casa last time i was in nashville. a young john cusack, some killer paper boys, and the famous racecar-driving, howard-cosell-talking ree brothers… you can’t go wrong. (except for the bad judgement call of the dancing fast food claymation scene… that was truly unforgivable, even for the 80′s)

2. he’s a great designer. (yep, that simple)

3. he takes pictures that capture great moments. like this one and this one. and so many more.

4. the fact that he and barnes have inhabited the same living space is frighteningly hysterical.

5. the site redesign is so sexy (yep, sexy… no regrets for saying it) that it makes me giddy.

…it… is… gorgeous… outside… today…

holy crap. i want a hammock. it’s hammock-pretty outside.

EPIPHANY LOUNGE™
it rocked us. it rolled us. it
was all we hoped for.

haiku… what? maybe it’s too early for poetry. nonetheless…

the inaugural seating of the EPIPHANY LOUNGE™ was awesome. nothing fancy, nothing too organized (in a good way)… just 12 like-minded (as much as that’s possible) creative-types sharing fantastic dinner and great conversation. (and i put a serious hurting on the bread basket… good bread and free-flowing olive oil is not a good combo for my waistline.) i’m looking forward to seeing the effects of the gathering, and the subsequent gatherings, where each of us gets to invite someone we want to see there, on our little community. if for no other reason than to convince people they are not alone in their respective creative worlds, i think EPIPHANY LOUNGE™ will be important. it’s really amazing, after all the convo nick and i have had on such things, to see the proverbial lightbulb come on in people when they realize they don’t have to move to some urban sprawl just to find creative people or to be able to engage in making great art. we’ll make our own creative community right here in anderson, thank you very much.

also, proverbs was good to me this morning… “my son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding, and if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God. for the LORD gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding… then you will understand what is right and just and fair… every good path. For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.” pleasant to my soul, eh? i can get down with that.
