Audacity is a free, open source app for recording and editing sounds. It works on most platforms, so give it try.
And the Brokeback Mountain parodies just keep on rollin’ in. Shellback Mountain.
Today is National Pancake Day and thus IHOP is offering a free short stack of pancakes to every dine-in guest. Mmm… paaaaannnnnncaaaakkkes.
Notes to Self got a mention on Rocketboom this morning.
They get some outrageously enormously massively large (i’m running out of apropos adjectives, but you get the idea) amount of daily traffic (something like 130,000 views? What the?) so it looks like my “little project I just started a week ago” is going better than expected. Or perhaps EXACTLY as expected. Mwahahaha.
Thanks, Amanda and crew!
MC Hammer blog! (Must… resist… Hammer don’t blog ‘em… references…)
Make sure the girls you’re flirting with online AREN’T ACTUALLY YOUR MOTHER.
If Microsoft redesigned the iPod packaging it might look a little like this.
Beards. Fun. Surreal. 2nd hand nicotine-mouth. Beards. Pictures. Fun. White shoes. Bizarre. Ferry-boat captain. Beards. Gold Rush. Latent homo-eroticism. Colorado Bulldogs. Harry Caray. Inspiring. Creative. Surreal. Wonderful. Tired. Recovery. 2007!

I’m also a big fan of David Bean’s photos of this weekend, because they’re so very good, and Ryan Hale’s photos of this weekend, because they’re so very not good. And by “not good” I actually mean “amazing because most of them are taken with people by surprise” like so or whole-heartedly disturbing like so (where he looks like a midget.)
Great times!
Matt Dixon’s illustration work is outstanding. I’m not sure how you couldn’t love this, this, or this.
Color Combos is a handy site for web-developers/designers. You can quickly select and test color combinations, which is nice, but the Make Template option will actually generate CSS for you (right click, view source) which is a time-saver indeed.
A man in Sudan was forced to marry a goat after the animal’s owner found the man “us[ing] the goat as [a] wife.”
Happy Monday! Let’s begin with a lovely Flickr set entitled That Black Man Is Stealing That Chair!
Last night was probably one of the single weirdest, most slightly awkward, enjoyable, photography-filled evenings I have ever experienced.
Meeting people from the internet is always a bit odd, but meeting 100 people from the internet… at once… after you’ve spent 4 months staring at pictures of them growing beards and generally being completely wonderfully (strangely) creative… well that’s just downright surreal.
But fun.
I stayed out way past my bedtime. I’m a wild man.
Dwayne just informed me of something bizarre. Sitting down, raise your right foot in the air and make clockwise circles. Now, with your right hand, draw the number 6 in the air. Your foot will change directions. FRRRRREEEAAAAKY.
