The classic MasterCard logo is staying for the consumer brand identity, and this new identity is for it’s corporate business, so basically noone will notice.

Which might be even worse. Having two logos just serves to confuse consumers and water down the overall brand, in my opinion. If you want a separate corporate identity, then by all means, go for it; just don’t sacrifice the brand identity (by stretching it so thin) to do it.
