The Spider-Man 3 teaser trailer is online. Venom ahoy!

Could you pass the U.S. citizenship test that immigrants undergo?

I’ve spent the majority of the morning punching MySpace in its stupid face so we could have a cre824 Webdesign International Festival profile. If you like web stuff and design stuff and me and… stuff… go add us as a friend.

Anyone up for a trip to Unclaimed Baggage? The store covers more than a full city block and is packed with everything from luggage to electronics, sporting goods, jewelry, books, etc. I love a good bargain.

Wonderful photoblog at Durham Township. Her use of light and mood is fantastic, especially on shots like this and this.

Happy birthday to me. If you’d like to buy me something, my Gift Tagging page can help. I share a birthday with Helen Keller, Ross Perot, Vera Wang, J.J. Abrams, and, perhaps less notably, pop singer Vitamin C. (More birthdays and other June 27 facts on Wikipedia.)

Rupert Murdoch has his own MySpace profile. Only completely not.

Today is my last of 10 straight days of vacation. I got to photograph my first (and most likely last) wedding, spend time with friends, too much time in airports, and relax, relax, relax. Things will be back to (what passes for) normal here tomorrow.

How much weight do you place on what you dream about when you’re sleeping? Do you see your dreams as signs/visions or just as these weird things that occur when your slobbering all over your 400 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets?

1, 2, 3, go. The comments section is yours.

The In Residence photo pool on Flickr let’s you see inside people’s homes and apartments. There’s some fantastic decor ideas in there (and a lot of crap.)

Have you ever noticed how certain geographical areas and communities have their own vibe and characteristics? I’m in Gulf Port and Biloxi, Mississippi this week to photograph a wedding.

People in Mississippi STARE at you. All the time. Everywhere. In traffic, in stores, while you’re eating… they stare.

I’m sure they’re very nice people, but it’s a bit disconcerting.

I got some spam with this subject line: bonny bisection spherical smog usually. It’s bad when you get so much nonsensical spam that the nonsensical spart begins to sound oddly poetic.

I started playing with Apple’s Aperture app (hello, alliteration) for RAW photo workflow. I’m still not completely sold, but so far it’s not bad either. Anybody else using it? Thoughts?

Video clip of how the Superman Returns visual effects crew resurrected Marlon Brando to reprise his role as Jor-El.

Files are not for sharing… an illustrated children’s story.

Kite Aerial Photography on Flickr. I MUST try this.

The free download on iTunes this week is from Landon Pigg, who I am almost certain opened for me in Knoxville one time many moons ago. Small world (passing me by.)

My boy Lee McDerment does his best Brian McKnight (McWhite?) with this demo of Is It Any Wonder?

Say what you will about Will Ferrell’s brand of lowbrow comedy, but dang if the Talladega Nights trailer isn’t the funniest thing I’ve seen in a theater in months. (Let’s hope there are other parts of the movie that are funny as well.)

I’ve been on vacation in Dallas, TX since Saturday morning. I must amend my previous statements relating to the whole of Texas being “flat, brown, and ugly.”

I saw a few trees and a hill yesterday.
