The new promo trailer for Frank Miller’s 300 makes Troy (and all the other crap from that genre that’s been released lately) look like a romantic comedy. YES. YES. YES. I’m excited. You can check out the 300 Production Blog or pick up the original graphic novel.
Looks pretty cool and I bet it’s CGI free!

Well, it’s entireley shot on greenscreen/bluscreen like Sin City, as evidenced by the concept art. It’s CGI, but it’s goooood CGI.

OK…well hopefully they will at least keep Brad Pitt’s arse out of the storyline. They manage that and I’ll definately buy a ticket.

I don’t know if you’ve ever read Steven Pressfield’s “Gates of Fire,” but it is an amazing fictional retelling of the battle of Thermopylae. I read it in my Roman History class in college.

Looks pretty cool, no doubt. I wonder, however, will it age gracefully? Using modern music production against “historical” epics, I am reminded of “Ladyhawke”.
Saw that recently, and boy oh boy, it didnt age well. It was downright awful, in all honesty.

Orion: I don’t even think there’s a “name” in the film at all.
