The drive we took from our first hotel (best hotel I’ve ever stayed at) to our current hotel on the other side of Maui is probably the best Google map ever. So fun.
Today, we’re off to Maui. It’s ok to live vicariously through the Blankenships for awhile. No one will judge you.
1. I get married today, and she is a super hero.
2. We get to go on a two week vacation that made my travel agent jealous.
3. The Guilt-Free Married Sex™.
4. Late-June trips to California and London.
5. We’re moving to Boston.
Our photographer is in town and I’m pretty dang happy about it.
Our wedding is less than a week away, and we’re headed to San Antonio tonight to finish all the last minute details. When I return to Dallas post-wedding and honeymoon, Apt A will have a new dweller and I will have a roommate for the first time in a long time.
Luckily, she is hot and will be my wife.
If you must try to get in touch, try phone or Twitter, but don’t expect much of a reply unless it’s dire.
I dare (nay! Double-Dare) you to try and have as much fun as I will over the next few weeks.
I wasn’t sold on Andy McKee at first, but I am slowly developing a massive man crush on his righthand technique, if you know what I’m sayin’. (Also, Don Ross covers are always welcomed.)
I love this new video from Travis – it doesn’t take itself too seriously and lacks any hint of irony or sarcasm. It just seems so… earnest. And goofy.
1. Kickstart My Heart – Mötley Crüe
2. Since You’ve Been Gone – Kelly Clarkson
3. Tush – ZZ Top
4. Sleep Now in the Fire – Rage Against the Machine
5. Feels Like the First Time – Foreigner
New site and portfolio from KNI®. I Love the simplicity and color scheme, the attention to detail, and of course the work. And the people, too!
Jobs and Gigs is a jobboard for fulltime and contract design and development work. (But if you’re in the market for jobs, gigs, or employees, don’t forget about Krop, either.)
Quote, “Did the Yankees just buy another pennant? Or another Kevin Brown?” Slate crunches the numbers (LOTS of numbers) to see if Rogers Clemens’ one-year contract to come back to the Yankees is actually a worthwhile investment of $18mil.
Blurb is a handy app that you download and use to compile your own books, which they then print (for reasonable prices) in a variety of sizes and formats, including softcover and hardcover. It integrates wonderfully with Flickr. I’m trying this out soon.
Yep, more Vimeo. Deal with it. Lip Dubbing: Istanbul (Not Constantinople) from AA on Vimeo
MySpace intoduces their new Profile Editor. Of course, since it’s MySpace, it only works in Internet Explorer and the only available theme is an advertising-heavy Die Hard 4 skin (“BLOW UP YOUR PAGE with action-themed content!”) No strategy, poor design, non-existent cross-browser functionality, and absolutely zero respect for the user – sounds like MySpace to me.
Quote, “Since trying [the Thought Screen] Helmet, I have not been bothered by alien mind control. Now my thoughts are my own. I have achieved meaningful work and am contributing to society. My life is better than ever before. Thank you…for the work you are doing to save all humanity.” Learn how to make your own Thought Screen Helmet at Stop Alien Abductions.
The JPG Magazine we know and love is no more. Well, it still exists, just without its founders. Read more from Derek Powazek and Heather Champ. This just lacks merit all around.
My very-soon-to-be brother-in-law Anthony just got his first Mac today. He’s a web developer and game designer, as well as internet savvy kind of guy.
What are some third-party apps that you recommend he install? Screensavers? Fun things? 1, 2, 3, go.
