Cormac McCarthy’s The Road Movie Adaptation

With the success of No Country for Old Men, it looks like Hollywood thinks Cormac McCarthy’s stories are now bankable movie adaptation fodder. The Road, my personal favorite McCarthy story, is already in production.

    The tides of Hollywood.

More like tidal waves. Crashing on the shores of a fickle culture.

Considering this was my personal pick for Best Film, I’m eager to read the book and more from the author. I am biased in saying that the film did as well as it did, much so because of he mastery of The Coen Brothers.

I’ve not seen anything from the filmmaker helming The Road project, so I can speculate the outcome.

  2. Speaking of adaptations, Hollywood is planning on releasing Chuck Palahniuk’s Choke sometime in late 2008 I hear.

    Choke.

    That’s a bold undertaking.
