If he really felt that way, he wouldn’t have entered. All he is going to do is split the independents and cooks in half who would have more than likely voted Democrat.

@Joshua: Do you actually believe that though?

While it’s true that his voters are likely to go Democrat (if any of the big parties) in his absence, it’s rather unfair to put the full blame of the Democratic Party’s loss on him and his voters. The fact that the elections in 2000 and 2004 tells me there has to be some other problems that wouldn’t be solved by Nader sitting on the bench.

Before this goes further, I should state for the record that I don’t currently support Nader or either of the two major parties.

What Nader slyly isn’t mentioning is how his campaign only serves to take away votes from the Democrats, thereby fulfilling his little prophecy.

I have to agree as well. As an independent, I’m shocked that the Republican party is ignoring Americans desire for change and progress. Going with a candidate that has been in Washington for a long time is not the type of president I want in the White House.
