Wordpress Cache-ing Woes and Plugins

Behold Wordpress, Destroyer of CPUs - Jeff Atwood discusses the irresponsible lack of built-in caching in Wordpress’s out-of-the-box installation. I’m starting to use the WP-Cache plugin and seeing a fairly dramatic speed increase (and I don’t even get that much traffic in the grand scheme of things.)

Yeah, the first thing I did after Gruber posted about this issue was to turn on that freakin’ plugin.

I get far less traffic than you (even that one time I was linked up by a NYT blog!), but I don’t want to take any chances.

I love the assumption that I get a lot of traffic; I really don’t.

Well maybe you appear to get more traffic because you get far more commenters than I do.

Of course “a lot of traffic” is relative, too. My perception of your traffic (based on the comments assumption) is based on what I know of my traffic.
