While not as extensive and luxurious, Beguiled by the Wild contains a good selection of Charley’s work at a more reasonable price.

A Cincinnati native! His work is all over here (zoo, nature center, etc). I had seen a show of his work (before he died), great stuff. Mmmm.

Most of the images in Beguiled aren’t in An Illustrated Life, because Beguiled is still in print and Mr Oldham didn’t want to step on any toes. The print quality on beguiled is better, too. MUCH better. What I’d really like to get my mitts on is an original edition copy of Birds and Words. That book is just beautiful!
