I’m fortunate enough to work close enough to Arts District that a leisurely bike ride down to the Winspear is an easy proposition. I spend 3-4 hours a week eating lunch and reading on the patio, sheltered by those radical foils. It’s a simple thing that gives me hope.
Too many “enoughs,” but you get my point. Glad the city treated you well.
A City Grows in Dallas
Mon 09/24/12
I got the pleasure of flying to Dallas this past week to speak alongside friends and peers at the first Circles Conference (more on that later, but it was exceptional).
I lived in Dallas in 2006/07, and it’s amazing to visit and watch the city continue to transform its downtown Arts District into an architectural and cultural center. Here are a few of my favorite shots from a Saturday spent exploring:
Clockwise from top: The Dallas Opera House, Lights in the Dallas Theater Center, A Lion in the Nasher Sculpture Center gift shop, One Arts Plaza and the Pegasus statue at Booker T. Washington High School,
