On The Illusion of Control

Nov 14

As nearly as I can tell, the only things I can control are:

  • How well (and much) I rest.
  • How well I steward things.
  • The things I say “yes” to.
  • The things I say “no” to.
  • How hard I’m willing to work.

  1. Yes, but think of what all of those things influence. Suddenly being able to say “yes” and “no” means you control a whole slew of other things as well. The title of your post is apt, the universe as we know it is more chaos than logic.

  2. Eugene

Also, “Things I want to think about.” But it’s an interesting question, because the level of control you have within each of these areas is heavily influenced by the circumstances of your life and the context you are in when exercising said control.

  3. Eugene, I tend to think “things I want to think about” is contained under #3 and #4.

  4. And biblical they all be, yes.

  5. I just wanted to say, I really like this.
