I’m a designer and writer who draws. I live in South Carolina with my artist poet wife and tiny objectively genius kids. We work out of a little studio I built with my hands (and my Dad). My body is a machine that turns fast food fried chicken into infinite side projects. You can email me or book a 20-minute call during open office hours on Wednesdays.
As a designer and creative director, I believe we have the chance to worldbuild around our ideas in the same way novelists or filmakers create context for their readers and viewers. Every surface, every interaction, every nook inside of an idea can be shaped into part of the story. You just have to care harder.
I’m a partner at Warm, a brand design studio. I’m also dabbling with Meander (garden design) and Mill (woodworking). My family writes, illustrates, and self-publishes books and zines at Blankenshop. I run the moodboard site Akinterest and write an occasional email newsletter on Substack. I think about Magic: the Gathering too much, keep meticulous decklists on Moxfield and keep up with tens of magical followers on Bluesky. I post too much on Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest.
