Scion Screws Up

It’s been fanscinating for me to watch the progress of Toyota’s Scion line and how they’ve niche marketed the vehicles to the urban hip-hop set. Maybe i’m skeptical, but it was only a matter of time before typical corporate thinking took over and they screwed it all up. A company blatantly co-opts the hip hop culture to sell its product, but censors the rough edges because most companies are run by scared white people, and in the process, they lose the brand authenticity they’ve worked so hard to build.
