The Changing of the Guard

In one corner of my office at home, there’s a boombox, a TV, and a DVD player. None of them are plugged in. None of them are ever used.

It’s not that I don’t listen to music, watch TV shows, or watch movies. I do all three, in abundance. I just do all of them on my computer. I have 65gb+ of wonderful music, I can watch LOST on Thursday morning via abc.com, catch whole seasons of other shows on DVD all at once, and when Netflix delivers movies to my door, I obviously choose to view those movies on my 23″ Cinema Display (as opposed to the aforementioned 17″ TV.)

Is this what the future feels like?
