Quicktime, More Reasons to Hate Internet Explorer, and Learning Flash Video

So, apparently there was a recent “update” to Internet Explorer and now Quicktime movies won’t display without adding about 30 lines of Javascript code to every embedded video. (Apple can tell you how to do that here.) And thus, the Save The Trinity site – one full of embedded Quicktime videos – is not full of said videos in Internet Explorer. And equally thus, I am now finally learning how to use Flash video well enough to re-encode all of those videos and redo the video pages.

Here’s to you, Microsoft – we webdesigners bill approximately 50% of our time to working around your incompetency and proprietary technology.
